Inference for Quality-by-Design (QbD) provides a software umbrella solution for implementation of QbD practices in the life science industries including pharmaceutical development, pre-clinical pharmacology, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.  Inference for QbD provides three principal benefits: (1),  a collection of methods and tools for turning data into actionable process understanding; (2) methods and tools to reduce the time and cost of achieving process understanding; and (3) a software vehicle for enterprise deployment of QbD practices.

Inference for MATLAB brings the power of MATLAB scripting for mathematical and technical computing to Microsoft Office. The MATLAB dynamic scripting language allows for easy matrix manipulation, plotting of functions and data, implementation of algorithms, and interfacing with software components in other languages.  MATLAB scripting is used in a wide range of applications, including signal and image processing, communications, control design, test and measurement, financial modeling and analysis, and computational biology.  Add-on toolboxes—collections of special-purpose functions—are available to extend the MATLAB environment.

Inference for R brings the power of R dynamic scripting for statistical computation and graphics to Microsoft Office. The R dynamic scripting language is widely used for statistical method development and data-analysis. It is an open source project and is freely available under the GNU General Public License from the R-project.  It consists of the R-scripting language and a run-time environment for graphics, debugging, access to system and network functions, and running script files. Inference for R enables dynamic documents by executing R scripts from within Inference in Word and Inference in Excel and coalescing output and graphics into a results document.

Inference for .NET brings the capabilities of dynamic scripting and the .NET environment to Microsoft Office.  Inference for .NET hosts Microsoft’s Dynamic Language Runtime (DLR) within Microsoft Office, enabling access to Microsoft’s new dynamic scripting languages (IronPython, IronRuby, managed Jscript, and dynamic VB) and the .NET environment from within Microsoft Word and Excel. If you are a .NET developer, you can retain your favorite development tools. Microsoft provides support for its dynamic scripting languages into Visual Studio, which allows you to construct scripts and libraries, with full access to the Visual Studio designer and debugger, and embed them into Inference.
